It is our pleasure in Bank Deposit Security Fund to launch our newly designed and carefully configured web site. Since it was launched on the 27th of January 2007, the financial arena and banking system in Sudan underwent numerous changes and developments.

‏The new web site involves changes in contents, layout and data presentations.

This configuration is devised to enhance public awareness about the Fund and is managed to approach our vision ” To be the best in protecting depositors and participate in the stability of the banking & financial system”‏ In addition to an overview of deposit guarantee scheme and its importance.

The establishment and evolution of the fund, the new web site includes related sites such as the Central Bank of Sudan, Union of Sudanese Banks, Union of Arab Banks as well as the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI).

Clicking on this later may lead you to almost all deposit insurance schemes in different countries who have explicit deposit insurance systems.

‏Moreover, the new site presents two liquidation experienced by the Funds in which depositors were paid out according to the maximum coverage limit.

The web site also encompasses the names of Board of directors as well as the general managers since the establishment of the Fund.

‏Needless to say that a matrix of the 37 member banks are incorporated which you can easily reach.

‏The photos of participants from different deposit guarantee schemes who participated in events organized by the Fund as well as those in which the Fund participated are shown.

‏Since the Fund succeeded in positioning itself in a leadership role in international and regional deposit guarantee schemes by holding the Chairperson of Middle East & North Africa (MENA) regional committee as well as being a founding member of the Islamic Deposit Insurance Group alongside membership of African Regional Committee (ARC), it was inevitable to launch an English Language version web site.

This is considered an excellent opportunity to easing access to our enriched experience in Islamic Deposit Guarantee to non-Arabic speaking visitors.

‏We hope our distinguished visitors being students, researchers or stakeholders including depositors, member banks and investors and all those who seek specialized knowledge in our endeavors will be able to satisfy their thirst.
